Hashiba Ferry on the Sumida River, 1847 - 1850 - Handsome view of the Hashiba Ferry crossing on the Sumida River in Edo. Two boats are filled with passengers, one just approaching the shore at right. A tiny egret flies across the water at left, while a few other birds bob on the waves at right. Trees line the water's edge, and mountains can be seen in silhouette along the horizon. A rarely seen subject with fine bokashi shading in the distant mountain and sky.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Some soiling and toning. A couple thin spots. Some creasing. Please see photos for details.
