Street Knight in a Skull Kimono

Comments - Fascinating triptych of a street knight wearing a purple kimono patterned with stylized skulls and ribcages, looking suspiciously out of narrowed eyes at his companion. The fellow gestures angrily, waving a slender pipe over his head for emphasis. Two beauties watch the confrontation with concerned expressions, while another man waits outside a door at left, frowning with his arms folded across his chest. A great design with large figures and vibrant color, with fine interaction between the characters.

Artist - Kunisada III (1848 - 1920)

Image Size - 14” x 29”

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail. Three separate panels. Horizontal creases at center. Some soiling and toning. Please see photos for details. Nice overall.
