Yoshitsune Retrieving His Bow at the Battle of Yashima

Famous Men from History and Legend - Terrific image from a series depicting famous men from Japanese history and legend, including samurai, noblemen, and Emperors. These wonderful designs range from the famous Soga Brothers avenging their father's death, to the poet Sugawara no Michizane, and the great warrior Kusunoki Masashige saying farewell to his son before heading into battle, knowing that he faced certain death. These handsome designs feature lively color, fine calligraphic line work, and attractive settings. Some include deluxe printing techniques such as embossing or accents of metallic pigment that have oxidized to a dark tone. A great choice for a samurai enthusiast.
