Series; Falsehood and Truth Both Sides of the Heart, circa 1848

Beauty Waving - Charming portrait of a kneeling beauty looking up with a smile, waving at a companion. She wears a striped kimono over a red under robe, tied with a dark blue obi. The inset above shows a woman enjoying a meal, using chopsticks to eat from a blue and white ceramic bowl. A kettle rests atop a lidded wooden tub beside her. An attractive design from a rarely seen Kuniyoshi beauty series.
