Instructive Index of All Sorts of Proverbs - Kuniyoshi's 1843 series "Instructive Index of All Sorts of Proverbs" features portraits of beauties accompanied by proverbs. A charming and rarely seen series, with fine detail in the kimono and obi fabrics and the household furnishings.
