February: Plum Viewing - Lovely image of beauties enjoying an outing to view the blossoming plum trees in February. They pause at a tea stall to relax and take refreshments as they admire the trees dotted with white blossoms and buds. The woman in the center wears a pretty violet kimono shaded to cream color and bordered with delicate pink and white flowers atop slender green stems. Her blue obi features a striking pattern of red maple leaves and metallic silver that has oxidized to a dark tone on the waves. Beautiful color and detail in this wonderful seasonal subject, with burnishing on the hair and black geta clogs.
