Seeking Shelter from the Rain

Comments - Interesting scene of a group of people seeking shelter from the rain in an entryway. At lower right, a geisha with an umbrella grins up at the man at left, who stares back at her with a worried frown. He carries a small child on his back who has a hand drum resting over his shoulder. A blind man can be seen at upper right. Raindrops slant across the scene. The actors include Iwai Shijaku I as the geisha, Nakamura Fukusuke I, Seki Sanjuro III, and Nakamura Utaemon IV. An attractive design with expressive figures in a nicely detailed setting.
