Ferry on the Sumida River, 1867 - Handsome scene of beauties riding in a ferry on the Sumida River on a moonlit night. The woman standing in the center carries a lantern on a pole, while the beauty next to her holds a small fishing net, her sleeve caught between her teeth to keep if from getting wet. At right, a young boy oars the ferry along, looking back over his shoulder at his passengers. Sails dot the water in the distance, and a full moon can be seen at upper left. An attractive design.
