Comparisons to the Thirty-six Poems - Handsome design from a kabuki series featuring half-length portraits of actors in famous roles. The large colorful figures are set off by a background shaded from purple to green, with an inset above in the form of an open book featuring a verse. The title refers to the famous anthology of poems by the "Thirty-six Poetry Immortals." A rarely seen early series by Kunichika.
