Original Kunisada II (1823 - 1880) Japanese Woodblock Print
Beauty Strolling Kakemono, 1867

Comments - Attractive kakemono portrait of a beauty out for a stroll, pausing to look back over her shoulder with a smile as she lifts the edge of her robe. She wears a blue kimono bordered with folding fans decorated with maple leaves, bamboo, irises, and pine branches, trimmed with a light blue print of swirling water, over a red under robe tied with a geometric patterned obi. Blossoms and leaves done rendered to look like an ink painting provide a backdrop above. A charming design.

Image Size - 27 3/8" x 9 1/8" + margins as shown
