Series; Musical Beauties, 1878

Musical Beauties - Charming portrait from a rarely seen Kunichika series depicting upper-class beauties playing music. The women wear elegant patterned kimono over white under robes tucked into red pants, and each has a long ponytail tied with several bows. A fan-shaped inset above features a bird and flowers. Nicely detailed with fine line work in the hair and embossing on the white robes.

Image Size - 14 1/8" x 9 1/2" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Small losses and tears, repaired. Creasing, slight soiling, a couple stains. Please see photos for details.
