Tamaya's Daughter-in-law, 1854 - Charming kabuki portrait of Tamaya's daughter-in-law strolling through the snow on a winter day. She pauses to look back over her shoulder with a smile, an umbrella in hand. She wears a tan and gray coat patterned with undulating lines over an iris print kimono, a cloth wrapped about her head. A bamboo fence fills the background with a few snow-covered branches above. An attractive design.
