Comments - Interesting scene of a kabuki play at the Meijiza or Meiji Theater showing the warrior Sanada Yukimura at bottom center, frowning angrily as he stares up at Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Wearing formal court robes and cap, Hideyoshi instead looks over his shoulder at the samurai at left, who holds up a black lacquer box tied with a red cord. At right, a matron watches with a slight smile, a fan in hand. Rolled up blinds hang over head. The actors include Ichikawa Gonjuro as Yukimura and Ichikawa Koyone as Hideyoshi. Nice large colorful figures.
