Kono Toyokazu (1914 - 2007) Original Japanese Painting on Silk Mounted to Board
Drastic Price Reduction Moved to Clearance, Act Fast!

Comments - Handsome original painting of a camellia in the traditional shikishiban board format, ready for display. The rosy pink blossoms are delicately shaded with darker tones, and the artist has used the negative space of the background to create the veins on the leaves, an interesting technique. The image is painted on silk covered mounted to the board. Kono Toyokazu was the grandson of the noted Meiji artist Kono Bairei. An attractive floral design.

Artist - Kono Toyokazu (1914 - 2007)

Size - 10 3/4" x 9 1/2"

Condition - Painted on silk mounted to board. Spotting, wear at edges, board is curled. Please see photos for details.
