Scenery of Mt. Atago, circa 1846

Comments - Charming portrait of a beauty enjoying the scenery from Mt. Atago. She smiles happily as she holds her sleeve to her chin, an umbrella in her other hand. She wears a blue, gray, and black plaid kimono over a red under robe, tied with a striped obi in similar colors. A comb, hairpins, and ribbons adorn her hair. A border of clouds separates the figure from the view looking out over Edo from atop Mt. Atago, with a building nestled among the trees at upper left and sails dotting the water beyond. An attractive design.
