Sparrows and Nandina in Snow

Masterpiece Prints of Birds and Flowers by Hiroshige and Hokusai - Charming design from a series of kacho-e or birds and flowers prints by Hiroshige and Hokusai. While both artists are best known for their landscape series, they also did beautiful nature prints. Published by Kyoto Hanga-in, these attractive images feature softly shaded backgrounds that provide a nice contrast to the detailed birds and blossoms. This is the first time we've seen several of these designs in reprint. A nice opportunity to acquire some of Hiroshige's and Hokusai's best kacho-e. See publisher's commentary on the series below (not included).

Artist - Hiroshige (1797 - 1858)

Image Size - 7 1/4" x 5 1/4" + margins as shown
