Shellfish Gathering - Charming scene of two beauties at the shore gathering shellfish. Water swirls around the women's ankles, and a variety of shells covers the sand below. This is an example of a benizuri-e, a "crimson" print usually rendered in shades of pink and green. A nice image from the early years of color woodblock prints, in a large format great for display.
