Three Deaths at Kawanakajima, 1867

Comments - Dramatic Yoshitoshi triptych depicting the Battle of Kawanakajima between the forces of Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin. At left, a warrior fires a large cannon on a wheeled carriage. In the center, a Takeda samurai grips his sword above his head with both hands as his horse rears, the battlefield littered with dead and dying warriors. Nice expressive figures in an atmospheric setting.

Image Size - 14" x 28 7/8" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels. Wormholes, repaired. Creasing throughout, slight toning and soiling, a few small marks. Please see photos for details.
