Beauty Combing Her Hair

Comments - Lovely Utamaro design of a beauty kneeling before a mirror stand, using a comb to put the finishing touches on her elegant hairstyle. An attendant carries a kimono over her shoulder and a small purse dangling from her lips. A symbol from the Tale of Genji appears at upper left. A charming Edo era beauty subject, rarely seen in reprint.
