Ryogoku: The Aoyagi Restaurant - Beautiful night scene from a very unusual series by Hiroshige depicting famous restaurants. Two elegant geisha are boarding a boat leaving from the popular Aoyagi Restaurant. A servant hurries after them carrying a large tray of food for the party they will be attending. A lovely riverside scene with wonderful detail in the architecture and fine line work in the gracefully moving willow branches. A rare subject to find in reprint.
