Series; The New Biography of Toyotomi Hideyoshi (Shinsen Taikoki)

Horio Yoshiharu Leads Hideyoshi to Inabayama Castle - Handsome scene of Horio Yoshiharu leading Toyotomi Hideyoshi and his men through the forest to mount a surprise attack on the Saito clan's Inabayama Castle. Yoshiharu pauses beside a fallen tree, looking up at the step walls of the fortress at left, a full moon glowing in the sky beyond. Interestingly, the samurai is not dressed in armor, but is wearing a vest and robe tucked into green pants patterned with horses. An atmospheric night scene with a dramatic composition.
