Procession of Beauties

Comments - Interesting scene of beauties enacting a daimyo's process, the two women in the front carrying small trunks over their shoulders. Standard bearers in black follow behind, carrying tall poles topped with black fringe. Beyond the railing, storehouses line the river, with rooftops stretching into the distance and the snow-capped peak of Mt. Fuji on the horizon. A handsome composition.

Artist - Sencho (active circa 1830 - 1850)

Image Size - 14 3/4" x 9 3/4" + margins as shown

Condition - This print with good color and detail as shown. Small losses and slight thinning at edges, a few small holes, repaired. Creasing, slight soiling, a few spots. Please see photos for details.
