View of the Great Battle between the Two Generals of Kai Province and Echigo Province at Kawanakajima, 1859 - Great portrait of Uesugi Kenshin on horseback during the Battle of Kawanakajima against Takeda Shingen. Here, Kenshin gallops into the enemy camp during a surprise attack, raising his sword above his head with both hands, a fierce grimace on his face. He wears a vest with a dragon on the back over his armor, and a monk's headdress. A wooden shield and abandoned weapons litter the ground below. A dramatic image.

Artist - Kunitsuna II (1829 - 1874)

Image Size - 13 1/2" x 8 7/8"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Backed with stiff paper and an unrelated print. Small losses and wormholes, repaired. Creasing throughout, slight toning and soiling, rubbing at edges, a couple wrinkles. Please see photos for details.
