Onoe Kikugoro as Teranishi Kanshin and Kawarazaki Kunitaro as Komurasaki, 1873 - Dramatic scene of the commoner Teranishi Kanshin grimacing angrily as he yanks on the obi of the beautiful Komurasaki. The young woman turns away from him with a frightened expressive, hiding behind her raised sleeve. Kanshin wears a kimono made from a patchwork of fabrics, a rustic hut visible behind him at right. Foliage separates the figures from a view of the water, with a crescent moon glowing in the night sky. From left, the actors are Kawarazaki Kunitaro and Onoe Kikugoro. A handsome design with an attractive setting.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two attached panels. Small loss at edge, hole, repaired. Creasing throughout, slight soiling, light stain at edge. Please see photos for details.
