Comments - Charming depiction of sericulture, the process of raising silkworms to create silk. At bottom, a beauty winds silk thread onto a spool. A tray of silkworm cocoons rests on the floor beside her. Just beyond, a companion chops mulberry leaves to feed the silkworms. At center left, a women leads a horse laden with baskets of mulberry branches across a small arched bridge. A pine tree nearby grows out over the water, supported by wooden poles. An interesting look at the steps involved in sericulture.
