Kimura Matazo Fighting with Inoue Taikuro while Kato Kiyomasa Watches - Fantastic scene of the two wild-haired warriors Kimura Matazo Shigekatsu and Inoue Taikuro engaged in a fierce sword fight in the countryside. At left, Shigekatsu lunges forward, gripping his sword with both hands. His black robe features a beautiful burnished geometric pattern. At right, Taikuro grimaces as he raises his weapon above his head, his blue kimono pushed down to the waist. His robe also has a terrific burnished design. At right, Kato Kiyomasa peers around the edge of a pine tree, frowning as he watches the battle. Kimura Matazo Shigekatsu was a skilled sumo wrestler and a retainer of Kiyomasa A great design with wonderful detail and a handsome natural setting.

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Two separate panels, backed with paper. Light diagonal fold. Large tear at edge, a couple small losses at edges, repaired. Curling, slight soiling, a few creases. Please see photos for details.
