Comments - Dramatic scene of the commoner Teranishi Kanshin grimacing angrily as he yanks on the obi of the beautiful Komurasaki. The young woman turns away from him with a frightened expressive, hiding behind her raised sleeve. Kanshin wears a kimono made from a patchwork of fabrics, a rustic hut visible behind him at right. Foliage separates the figures from a view of the water, with a crescent moon glowing in the night sky. From left, the actors are Kawarazaki Kunitaro and Onoe Kikugoro. A handsome design with an attractive setting.
