Courtesan Hinazuru of the Chojiya

Comments - Beautiful okubi-e or large head portrait of the courtesan Hinazuru of the Chojiya. She smiles as she looks over her shoulder, a roll of tissues in her hand. She wears a black outer robe with a maple leaf print collar over a pink kimono patterned with ropes. Her hair is pulled back into a large bun with wings at the sides, adorned with two combs and several hairpins. A classic Edo era beauty design. The first time we've seen this subject in reprint.
