Comments - Charming print depicting two stages in the process of sericulture, the art of making silk. In stage seven, a beauty boils silkworm cocoons to release the silk, winding the thread onto a spool. She smiles as she works, her sleeves tied back with a red sash and her hair protectively wrapped in a blue and white cloth. An inset above shows stage seven, where women are stretching silk floss and hanging it over a line. An attractive and interesting design.
