Original Meiji era Japanese Woodblock Print
Sankyoku Music in Autumn

Comments - Lovely autumn scene of beauties playing music in a pavilion built out over the water. The three women play the shamisen, koto, and kokyu in a "sankyoku" or "three instrument" ensemble. Another beauty stands with one hand resting on the wooden pillar, smiling as she looks out over. A boat can be seen at right, and colorful maple trees dot the rocky hills beyond. An attractive design.
