Inside the Exposition in Tokyo, 1881

Comments - Fantastic panoramic view of the Second National Industrial Exposition, held in Ueno Park in Tokyo in 1881. At bottom center, the Emperor's carriage travels toward the entrance following a procession of soldiers on horseback, with another carriage carrying ladies of the court at lower right. Beyond the gate at top center, the exposition buildings line a garden plaza with a fountain in the center. An interesting depiction of this historic event.
