Ichimura Uzaemon XIII as the Beggar Setsuhei, 1864 - Interesting kabuki portrait of Ichimura Uzaemon XIII as the beggar Setsuhei in the play "Soga Moyo Tateshi no Goshozome." He looks up suspiciously over his shoulder with a sneer, a blue and white cloth draped over his head. In one hand he holds an open book, pointing at it with a straw in his other hand. He wears a striped kimono with insets of bamboo and reeds on the shoulders over a red under robe with a black collar. A nice large expressive figure.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 1/2"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Horizontal centerfold. Large loss at edge, a couple thinning areas, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and rubbing. Please see photos for details.
