Winter, Mt. Norikura, Three Print Set with Original Envelope

Comments - Terrific set of three woodblock postcard-sized prints featuring winter scenes of Mt. Norikura along the border of Daido's home prefecture of Nagano, accompanied by the original envelope. The subjects include a man skiing, a couple with skis and poles over their shoulders, and the mountain set against dramatic clouds. A small green label on the upper left of the cover reads "Japanese Alps Mountain Art Research Association," a group founded by Kato Daido and his companions in 1933 to promote artwork in the region. A charming and rare set.

Image Size - Each card 3 1/2" x 5 3/4"; folder 7 1/8" x 4"
