A Thousand Butterflies - Lovely image from Sekka's two volume "A Thousand Butterflies" series, first published by Unsodo in 1904. These elegant and refined images depict butterflies in both colorful and muted tones, from a single insect to large fluttering groups, with a variety of shapes and forms. Some include silver or gold mica embellishments. Prints from Sekka's butterfly series are rarely seen on the market. These charming modern designs a great choice to collect or display. The woodblocks in this group are from a later edition by the original publisher.
