Scenery of Mt. Atago, circa 1846

Comments - Charming scene of two beauties and a young girl on an outing to Mt. Atago. The woman at left holds child's hand, smiling as she looks back over her shoulder. The girl carries an umbrella over her shoulder. The beauty at right wears a brown and black checked kimono tie with a blue print obi that reverses to black, a blue and white cloth draped over her shoulder. A row of clouds separates the figures from a view of tea stands and rooftops among the trees, with ships dotting the ocean in the distance. A classic Edo era beauty design.
