Geisha, 1822 - Interesting kabuki portrait of a geisha walking through the street, pausing to look back over her shoulder with a dismayed expression. She carries a blue and white robe under one arm and has a towel draped over her shoulder, her green and brown print kimono tied with a plaid obi. The wooden grid of a window runs across the top of the scene. An expressive figure, with handsome detail in the wood grain of the building behind her.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Tear and small loss at edge, small loss at corner, a few wormholes, repaired. Toning, slight soiling and rubbing at edges, vertical folds at sides. Please see photos for details.
