Empress Jingu Attacks the Three Korean Kingdoms, 1852

Comments - Fantastic scene depicting the legendary Empress Jingu's troops invading Korea in the third century. A couple of warriors on horseback ford a rushing river, the water up to the animals' chests, while other samurai wade alongside. Fighting takes place on the bridge above, with warrior wielding a huge axe sending an enemy tumbling head over heels through the air and Korean flags flying through the sky. A lively image with wonderful detail in the figures and weapons.

Image Size - 14 1/4" x 9 3/4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Small losses and thinning at top edge, small thinning spot, a couple small tears at edge, repaired. Creasing, slight toning and soiling, a few stains. Please see photos for details.
