Original Watanabe Tairyu (1928 - ?) Japanese Woodblock Print
Woman after a Bath

Comments - Lovely shin-hanga portrait of a beauty after a bath at a hot spring. She wears a striking navy blue and white kimono patterned with bamboo leaves, the robe wrapped loosely about her. In the background, softly shaded forms suggest mountains and clouds of mist, with maple leaves barely visible at upper left and a wooden roof at center. Exquisite detail in the hairline, eyebrows, and eyelashes. A terrific large format, limited edition design, signed and number. Would make a fantastic framed display.

Sealed - Red artist's seal in lower right margin
Numbered - 31/300
