Comments - Terrific kabuki scene of the famous archer Minamoto no Tametomo sinking the leading ship of Mochimitsu's fleet with a single arrow. He stands in the center holding his bow, having just fired the shot, watching as the ship flounders in the distance. A red-haired man kneels beside him, watching with an agitated expression, strange bumps on the side of his head like small horns. At right, a beauty holds the hand of a young girl, a small boy waiting at her side. From left, the adult actors are Ichikawa Sadanji, Ichikawa Danjuro, and Nakamura Fukusuke. A dramatic image with large colorful figures and an expansive ocean view, set off by the deep red sky.
