Scenes of Sacred Places and Historic Landmarks - Tokuriki's famous series "Scenes of Sacred Places and Historic Landmarks" features some of Japan's most famous and sacred temples, shrines, castles, and natural wonders, in a variety of seasons and weather conditions. These wonderful images have a lovely watercolor-like quality, with soft colors and delicate shading. Of special interest are the inclusion of contemporary details, such as automobiles and telephone lines, which add a unique modern feel to these traditional subjects. These are first edition prints, published in 1941 by Uchida. A beautiful choice for display.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Slight paper remnants on reverse at top corners from original publisher mounting. Slight toning at corners, a couple creases at edges. Please see photos for details.
