Seventh Month Pilgrimage at Sensojo Temple

Series; Pride of Edo

Seventh Month Pilgrimage at Sensojo Temple - Interesting image of a young boy tugging on his mother's black obi. He tumbles backwards, looking over his shoulder as smoke billows from the hibachi on the floor behind him. The beauty wears a lovely patterned kimono in shades of pink and rose, her hair pulled back into a bun tied with a red ribbon and adorned with hairpins. This is one of ten prints in Kunisada's series, "The Pride of Edo," comparing beautiful young women with the famous places of Edo.

Image Size - 15" x 10" + margins as shown
