Beauties in an Iris Garden, 1904 - Lovely scene of young women visiting an iris garden in summer. The beauty at center is cutting flowers for an arrangement, a pair of scissors in her hand. She pauses to chat with a companion leaning over the verandah at right, while at left, a girl points out a blossom to her mother. Other women wander through the garden behind them, partially hidden by the foliage. A charming summer subject with accents of metallic silver pigment on two of the obi and the girl's hair ribbon.
