Buddha Festival - Wonderful depiction of the ladies of Chiyoda Palace celebrating the birth of Buddha. At right, one of the beauties kneels before an altar with a small statue of Buddha pointing toward heaven, her hands clasped in prayer, while others watch the activities in the garden from a spacious verandah. A beautifully detailed print with embossing on the white kimono collars and trim, and burnishing on the black finials on the verandah posts.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Three separate panels, left panel backed with paper. Losses at side, slight separation along vertical fold at side of two panels, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and rubbing, a few creases and stains. Please see photos for details.
