Comments - Great kabuki scene of an angry samurai throwing his arms out at his side, frowning with his lips tightly pressed together. He wears a black kimono with a striking image of a fierce dragon and swirling clouds. The beauty at watches him with a sober expression. A mansion can be seen behind them with a black lacquer railing around the verandah and colorful floral motifs decorating the panels of the room beyond. At left, a separate scene shows a woman looking up from beneath the light pink kimono she holds above her head. Blossoming cherry branches are set against a pink sky above. An attractive design with vibrant color and large expressive figures. Includes burnishing on the railing and the black obi at right, and embossing on the white kimono collar at left.
