Three Turtles Pillar Print

Comments - Fantastic nature print of three turtles swimming among floating seaweed. The current is rendered in a sinuous curve, creating a sensation of flowing water. A lovely aizuri-e design, done primarily in shades of blue with fine bokashi shading. A beautiful image, and a handsome Meiji era reprint.

Artist - Hokusai (1760 - 1849)

Image Size - 11 1/8" x 4"

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Toning, a few spots. Please see photos for details.
