Beauty Playing a Lute - Lovely image of a happy young woman playing a biwa or Japanese lute. She smiles as she looks down, playing a tune, dressed in a soft green outer robe patterned with tiny cherry blossoms and streams. Her hair is pulled back into a smooth bun, adorned with clusters of blue flowers and several hairpins. Falling snow can be seen beyond the verandah railing at top right, with a niche at left holding an ornate lidded jar. A beautiful portrait, attractively colored and detailed.
