Hiratsuka Un'ichi - Hiratsuka Un'ichi was one of the leading artists of the sosaku hanga or creative prints movement in Japan. Considered one of the finest block carvers of his time, he taught the first woodblock print class at the Tokyo School of Fine Arts in 1935. He received the Order of Cultural Merit from the Japanese Government in 1970. A museum dedicated to Hiratsuka Un'ichi opened in Suzaka, Nagano, in 1991. His works are a great choice for a collector interested in sosaku hanga.

Condition - This print with excellent detail as shown. Diagonal folds across image. A couple holes, repaired. Slight toning, soiling, and rubbing, stain at edge. Please see photos for details.
