Original Kiyochika (1847 - 1915) Japanese Woodblock Print
Oji Inari Shrine

Series; One Hundred Views of Musashi

One Hundred Views of Musashi - Kiyochika's 1884 series "One Hundred Views of Musashi" depicts scenes of Tokyo, which lies in Musashi Province. Although the title refers to one hundred views, only thirty-four subjects were produced. Kiyochika followed the style of Hiroshige's "One Hundred Views of Edo," using similar compositions to provide updated views of Meiji Tokyo. Many designs include large foreground elements to frame a distant view in the background. A rarely seen Kiyochika series, nicely composed and detailed.

Artist - Kiyochika (1847 - 1915)

Image Size - 12 3/8" x 8 1/8"

Condition - This print with excellent color and detail as shown. Backed with somewhat stiff paper. Slight creasing. Please see photos for details.
