Kyoya Sales Clerk Kyushichi and Kyoya Mansuke, 1860

Comments - Interesting kabuki scene of the sales clerk Kyushichi of the Kyoya shop gesturing worriedly to Kyoya Mansuke, who hunches forward with a distraught expression. Kyushichi holds bolts of cloth under one arm as he points with the other, leaning on one knee. At center right, an open ledger rests on a low stand, while other ledgers hang on the wall behind the clerk. Nice expressive figures.
