Konobu's Bunraku Puppets - Interesting design from a bunraku puppet series by Konobu Hasegawa. The bunraku puppet theater is a traditional Japanese art form that dates back hundreds of years, and is still practiced today. These sophisticated puppets can be several feet high, and are highly articulated to move realistically. Konobu's colorful depictions capture the charming quality of these expressive figures. From brave samurai to beautiful princesses, these wonderful designs offer a fascinating look at the world of bunraku theater. Beautifully printed, many include deluxe printing techniques such as burnishing or embossing.
